hidroel\u00e9trica revers\u00edvel da Calheta III, pertencente \u00e0 Empresa de Eletricidade da Madeira (EEM).<\/p>\n<p>A obra, em regime de chave-na-m\u00e3o, incluiu a central hidroel\u00e9trica com duas turbinas Pelton de eixo horizontal, com 15 MW e 672 metros de queda cada, uma central elevat\u00f3ria principal com 3 bombas centrifugas de velocidade vari\u00e1vel com 5,1 MW e uma altura manom\u00e9trica m\u00e1xima de 750 metros, uma central elevat\u00f3ria secund\u00e1ria com duas bombas centrifugas de 0,09 MW e uma altura manom\u00e9trica de 80 metros e uma conduta for\u00e7ada e elevat\u00f3ria, parcialmente enterrada, com um di\u00e2metro m\u00e9dio de 1200 mm e uma extens\u00e3o de mais de 4 km.<\/p>\n<p>O Projeto inclui ainda toda a instala\u00e7\u00e3o el\u00e9trica, incluindo dois transformadores elevadores, para entrega da energia na rede de 60 kV bem como todo o sistema de comando e controlo de toda a instala\u00e7\u00e3o e interface com o sistema de despacho
